The world we live in today requires new ways of thinking, working and living. Young people need to be familiar with and use the latest technology at school to equip them for this new world. We are preparing students to be the next generation of creators, inventors, makers and doers.

The modern workforce requires more collaboration, creativity and connectedness than ever before. Bringing your own device (BYOD) allows the teaching and learning to move towards students being at the centre of their learning both at school and at home. Students with devices are better able to explore learning through researching, sharing, publishing, problem-solving and creating new knowledge.

In 2016 Newlands College successfully introduced BYOD for all students and the devices have enhanced the learning outcomes across all learning areas. Newlands College has continued to invest in improving our infrastructure to ensure that the school wireless functions appropriately.
