Newlands College will carefully select a homestay family who lives within easy travel distance to Newlands College. Our homestay families are experienced and are regularly monitored to ensure the students have a positive experience. All Newlands College homestay families meet the requirements of the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021 (the Code).

A homestay family will provide you with:

• a warm, caring family environment
• a comfortable room with furniture including study facilities
• three meals a day and snacks
• laundry services

All students who are homestayed by the college are met at the airport by the Homestay Counsellor. She continues to meet regularly with each student to give guidance and to help them adjust to living with a local family.
